Interac Email Money Transfers are a simple, convenient, and secure way to send and receive money directly from one bank account to another. All you need is access to online banking through a participating financial institution, and you can send money to anyone with an email address and a bank account in Canada without sharing any personal or financial information. It's a great alternative to credit cards, cheques and cash.

Information you need to know:
Sending an INTERAC Email Money Transfer costs about $1.50 (your bank charges this fee) which is about the same cost as an envelope, mailing stamp, and the price of your bank cheques.
You need the following to get started:
- Your e-mail address
- A Canadian dollar bank account at a Canadian financial institution list on the image at the top of the page.
- Access to Online Banking
How do you send an INTERAC Email Money Transfer?
(Note: Each bank's online site is a bit diffrent so the steps might be a bit diffrent for your bank.)
- Sign in to Online Banking - From the Online Banking home page, or from the Account Balances page, choose "Transfer Funds" or "Make a Transfer". -Then select "Interac e-Transfer"
- Enter the amount you want transferred, and choose from which account.
- Choose your payment date(s), and then click "Submit."
- You will be prompted to provide the recipient’s name (LaserSpeed) and email address
(accounting@laserspeed.com). Plus, you’ll be asked to provide a security question and answer that only the recipient can answer (For the secuirty question you will be contacted by our accounting department when we receive your email payment).
Tip: If you plan to transfer money to this recipient on an ongoing basis, click the "Add this recipient to Payee List" checkbox, before clicking "Continue."
- Once you’ve confirmed the details, an email notification will be automatically sent to us.
- Upon successful retrival of your payment an e-mail will be sent to you confirming payment was completed. |
